October’s Breast Cancer Awareness ‘Pink Sunday’ & Breast Cancer Walk

You heard the powerful statistic that there are
3.3 million breast cancer survivors alive in the
United States.

Typically, we hear a lot about those who have succumb to disease, but not nearly enough about those who have fought and won the battle. This morning, we at Abundant Life Church Int’l would like to not only recognize, but celebrate our breast cancer survivors.

To all of our survivors, on behalf of the ALCI Medical Ministry, we want to show our appreciation and let you know that we love you, praise God for you, and thank Him for His Grace. Please continue to share your personal and unique testimony with others so that they will understand the importance of performing self breast exams, getting mammograms, and know the keys to breast cancer prevention and early detection.

Here are some photos from our ‘PINK SUNDAY’ Held October 15th, see the others on our Facebook Page, click here. Thank you to all those members and guests who wore pink to support breast cancer awareness and support our very own ALCI breast cancer survivors!

Also, thank you to all those who joined the ALCI Medical Ministry Team for the 2017 Cone Health Women’s Only 5K Walk/Run on October 14th. There were over 20 members in attendance from our ministry alone to celebrate and walk with us. We also had the pleasure of a few of our male members who joined this event to volunteer. Well done team! Proceeds raised help uninsured women obtain screening mammograms as well as other services during treatment. See you all next year! For more photos click here.

Special thank you to Sisters Michelle Lewis or Rochelle Muse of the ALCI Medical Ministry and their team for dedicating this month to Breast Cancer awareness and education. For more information on health and ministry, or to join this great ministry, you can email them at [email protected]
